Stephen Stanley Brings Family, Faith, and Feel-

Good Energy to Salt Lake City

May 16, 2025

Urban Lounge in Salt Lake City proved the perfect space for Louyah’s intimate yet electrifying performance — a venue known for letting fans experience music up close, dance freely, and grab a drink to settle into the night. Kicking off the show with “Overanalyze,” Louyah dove into fan favorites from his album 6FEET like “Save Myself” and “SunKiss.” He then moved into an acoustic set, featuring raw renditions of “Freckle” and “Love of Mine,” and paused to open up about his own struggles with depression. With honesty and compassion, he encouraged anyone feeling alone to reach out, assuring them they’re not alone — setting the tone for the heartfelt ballad “This Isn’t Heaven It Must Be Hell.”

The most personal moment came when Louyah paid tribute to his late friend Joey, who passed away in November 2024. He shared the meaning behind the sparrow tattoo on his arm and spoke with vulnerability about the love they had for one another. In honor of Joey’s birthday, Louyah sang “When I’m With You” — a song not originally connected to Joey, but one that carried deep emotional weight that night. Fans swayed, cried, and embraced the mix of genres he brought to the stage — from country to R&B, rap to acoustic soul. With unreleased songs like “Miss American Pie,” fan-charged anthems like “Unbothered,” and crowd favorites from his previous album, Louyah proved he’s an artist unafraid to explore the full spectrum of sound and feeling.

Looking ahead, Louyah shared that fans can expect more country-inspired tracks, but also to “expect the unexpected — there’s so much more coming.” For artists just starting out, he had simple but powerful advice: “Don’t stop. When they tell you to stop — don’t. When they tell you to give up — don’t.” When it comes to dream venues, he’s got his eyes on two iconic stages: Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado and Madison Square Garden in New York City. As for how he prepares for high-energy shows? “It just comes natural. I get up on stage and do my thing.” And favorite road food? Without hesitation: “Raising Cane’s.”

The night left the audience buzzing — filled with dancing, emotion, and connection. Whether you came for the heartbreak ballads, country bangers, or genre-mixing surprises, Louyah gave everything — and more.
